Client centred, calm and thoughtful. I create a steady, psychologically safe space that helps senior leaders and leadership teams slow down enough to think clearly, surface what is really going on, and make deliberate choices. I place strong emphasis on client ownership and responsibility, and I bring warmth, energy and a sense of enjoyment to the process. The work is deeply reflective and practical, combining appropriate challenge, clear contracting, and simple experiments between sessions to turn insight into sustainable change.

Having worked in leadership and coaching roles for over 20 years in a leading financial institution. I have extensive experience in working within highly complex, fast paced environments.
I am passionate about supporting people to get “unstuck” providing a dedicated listening environment for my clients to help them access new thinking and approaches.
1500+ Coaching Hours | 200+ Clients | 50+ Team Clients
Based just outside of Edinburgh I work with clients in all sectors on both 1:1 and Team assignments either in person or remotely.
I live happily with my wife and daughter and slightly less happily with a dog and cat.
When not coaching, I enjoy reading, watching movies and listening to music. I’m currently trying to learn to play the banjo (but making slow progress… maybe I need a coach!)

A clear and human contracting conversation, followed by a structured but flexible process shaped around your context. We will use diagnostics and lived experience to identify the patterns that help or hinder performance, then translate insight into practical commitments. Expect depth without therapy, challenge without judgement, and progress that is reviewed and anchored in real world outcomes. You can also expect shared ownership of the work and a tone that keeps things purposeful, human and engaging.

“Insightful and simplifying.” It helped me step back, reflect, and get clear on my focus areas and what to do next.
“An independent sounding board at a critical point.” Thoughtful perspective and careful listening helped me feel more confident and resilient through a very challenging period.
“A calm, safe space to be fully honest.” From the outset I felt able to be open, and the conversations flowed naturally while still staying focused.
“Personalised, natural, and authentic.” It did not feel scripted or process-driven. I felt supported and appropriately challenged.
“Clarity without being given the answers.” The coaching helped me develop my own perspective and assess my next steps with much greater confidence.
“Relaxed atmosphere, tailored each time.” Every session adapted to what had happened since the last meeting. A genuinely valuable process.
“Root cause and tangible actions.” Dedicated time focusing on my development helped me get to the heart of issues and leave with meaningful steps.
“Helpful pace and direction.” We did not just talk around issues. We agreed practical steps that improved how I led my team.
“Time to reflect, with real headspace.” Having monthly space to think with someone independent helped me work through live situations and decide how to move forward.
