Executive coaching offers a calm, confidential space to think clearly, find direction, and lead with intention. It is a place to step out of the noise, reflect honestly on what is happening, and translate that insight into practical choices and actions.

Despite the name, executive coaching is not about status. It is about the level of challenge and responsibility you are carrying, and having space to think and lead well within it.

Executive Coaching

Who it is for

Anyone can benefit from working with a coach and our coaches will meet you where you are, agreeing goals that are as individual as you are.

Below are a few “classic” times where coach can be particularly beneficial:

  • Leading people, leading change, or carrying significant responsibility

  • Stepping into a bigger role or navigating a transition

  • Working through complexity, ambiguity, or sustained pressure

  • Facing stakeholder tension or difficult conversations

  • Looking to strengthen leadership presence, confidence, or impact

  • Trying to lead sustainably without losing yourself in the pace

What you Can Expect

Calm and confidential

A steady space to think clearly and speak honestly.

Structured and tailored

Sessions shaped around what matters most right now.

Practical and reflective

Insight translated into simple experiments you can take into the day-to-day.

How we start

It begins with a free chemistry session. This is a chance to connect person to person, explore what is prompting you to consider coaching, and clarify what feels most important right now.

Crucially, it is also a chance to sense whether the relationship and working style feels like the right fit. If we continue, we will agree clear boundaries, intended outcomes, and a cadence that suits your context.

Common Formats

Engagements are shaped around what you need and your budget. Common options include:

  • A short programme, for example 6 sessions

  • A time-bound engagement, for example 6 to 12 months

  • Targeted support around a specific moment or decision

  • Retainer support, for an agreed period of time

If you are not sure what is best, we can work that out in the chemistry session.

Next Steps

If you are considering executive coaching, book a free chemistry session to explore fit and what would be most useful.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Despite the name, executive coaching is not limited to job titles. It is for anyone carrying meaningful responsibility, leading people, leading change, or navigating complexity and pressure, and who wants a calm, structured space to think and lead well.

  • A chemistry session is a chance to connect person to person. We explore what is prompting you to consider coaching, whether coaching feels right for you, and crucially whether the chemistry feels like a good fit between client and coach.

  • Coaching is designed to help you think, not to tell you what to do. Rather than giving advice or a ready-made solution, the focus is on strengthening your clarity, perspective, and choice-making so you can move forward in a way that fits you and your context.

Mentoring tends to draw more on the mentor’s experience and advice. Consulting typically involves diagnosing a problem and recommending solutions. Coaching can include challenge, reflection, and practical experiments, but ownership stays with you.

  • Yes. Coaching is confidential, and that confidentiality is a core part of the work.

The main exceptions are those set out in professional ethics, including where there is a serious risk of harm to you or others, or where disclosure is required by law. In these situations, the approach would be discussed wherever possible and handled in line with the EMCC Global Code of Ethics.

  • That is for you and your coach to agree. It depends on what you want from the coaching and the pace that suits you.

  • Either. Sessions can be held online, or face to face. Face-to-face sessions outside your coaches local area would incur travel expenses, agreed in advance.
